projectFLY was created in 2014 by Matt Davies.
The idea behind it was very simple, it was a way to log flights without any rules or regulations -
fly what you want, when you want, where you want & how you want.
Over time, projectFLY has essentially outgrown itself - amassing a user base of over 50,000 flight sim enthusiasts.
Until recent times, the infrastructure costs were covered primarily by Matt himself, with help from donations and subscription packages purchased through the website.
projectFLY doesn't have any corporate sponsors or show ads, it's completely reliant on it's community - hence this page.
As projectFLY further expands, we're looking to the community for financial help in order to cover operating
costs which will allow projectFLY to exist & be developed.

The ownership of the Photos you upload belongs to you, or the third party that owns the intellectual property rights to the them. If you upload any Photos to the Website that may be subject to intellectual property rights, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, sub-licensable and transferable license to host, publicly display, publicly perform, distribute, use, modify, alter and create derivative works of the Photos on the Website.
By uploading a Photo you are aware that we may in our sole discretion decide if the Photo is to be; (i) shown publicly on the Website; (ii) published on any projectFly social media accounts

When you purchase a product or service via. projectFly Systems Ltd, we will collect your full name and email address. These are used to contact the customer and we keep records as we are required to keep records of our customers. If you enter any data into the PayPal popup window or credit card information, this data is securely passed to Braintree who process the payment.
We store the Braintree ID, Braintree Subscription Information and the Last 4 digits of your card or PayPal email address for data display purposes and to ensure your subscription information is up-to-date and correct.
At projectFLY, our desktop client/application tracks your flight status via. a connection to your simulator.
This is required for us to obtain the data in order to display your flight on our website/application.
This data is associated with your user account, and can be viewed by all projectFLY users if your profile
is set to public visibility. You can modify this in your settings to keep your data private, and not
accessible for the public. By using the projectFLY application, you understand that this data will be
Your full name is passed to VATSIM when you ‘pre-file’ a flightplan through our dispatcher service, as per VATSIMs requirements. This is so we can automatically populate the full name field to allow you to seamlessly file a flight plan. Your booking/flight data will also be passed to populate the flight information fields. If you wish for this not to occur, do not select the ‘pre-file with VATSIM’ option in the dispatcher.
Your phone number, country and e-mail address are passed to Authy when you setup two-factor authentication. This allows Authy to automatically link an existing Authy account to projectFly, and to provide two-factor authentication functionality when logging into projectFly. If you do not wish for this to occur, do not setup two-factor authentication.
Your full name is passed to SimBrief when you dispatch a flightplan using SimBrief. This is so your name will appear on the generated briefing. If you do not wish for this to occur, do not dispatch a flight using SimBrief.
